    Dear Cathy,
My friend and trainer, Lenny Graham posted this on Facebook a while back and because he is a terrific advocate, I treasure his opinion and this post. Luckily, I do not have any debilitating physical effects from the MS (I was diagnosed with MS in 2002), just balance issues, drop foot, etc. but although I am always on the lookout for “the other shoe to drop”, I enjoy researching, networking and talking to other people about MS. Lenny’s quote (he is on FB as well and helps me out w/the balance/strength issues- is:

I couldn’t be more proud of my client-athlete Kelly “Speedy” Connor. Kelly has been battling the unpredictable affects of Multiple Sclerosis(MS) for more then 10 years. MS is believed to be an autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system (CNS)—the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Kelly doesn’t dwell upon her challenge, never even mentions it, and allows nothing to stand in her way! She is a true inspiration to everyone she meets! We all love and support her!

Thanks for your “keep on moving” attitude, Cathy-I definitely will mirror your assertiveness and I feel with my “people-person” demeanor, I can stay on top of this MS!
